journals

Dear friends, Having thrown out most of my journals written since coming out of hospital I now have a problem solving general journal that I will destroy each time it has finished and a journal of highlights in my life that I will keep. It is interesting the way my journaling changes over time. I still have a lot of my other journals like my walking journal and the one I write at my mothers. do you have journals? does your journaling change over time?
lots of love from susan in australia

Hello Susan. Thank you so much for your well wishes. I think I'm on my way to healing.

I don't like to go back and read anything in my journals. I never like what I read. I seem to be inspired to write when I'm unhappy, like a tortured poet who needs to be sad to churn out those heartfelt words. And I don't want to read that sort of thing again.

So...I have the journals, but I never re-read them.

Dear Susan,
I mainly write things for my work and hardly get time for reflection on my life or thoughts. Your blog has started me thinking more about things and I look forward to your questions. I hope I can improve on my answers over time.

Letting go of those old journals sounds like progress. They have done their work and it is lovely to hear thatyou are only keeping the positive ones now. I wish you and Teri both lots of love and healing
and journals full of good thoughts.
