Gratitude for roses in the street

Dear friends,
I used to have a beautiful rose garden with lots of roses each year to enjoy and give away. Yesterday I was walking in the neighbourhood and noticed two beautiful red roses. it was wonderful to enjoy their fragrance and beauty. i am so grateful other people grow roses too for me to enjoy. Do you enjoy your neighbours roses? Do you have roses of your own?
lots of love from susan in australia

Ahh my favourite (ok well after my children) subject roses.
I got my first Rose bush for Mother's Day and decided that one plant made me so happy and feel so loved I wanted more of that. So it became a bit of a ritual that I was given roses.

Then when my Mother passed I planted a standard rose it was yellow and called "Freesia" and we fussed over it and loved it and for over a year it wouldn't flower until the day I got married I was headed out the door to meet the groom and there was "mum's rose" flowers, almost as if to say she was there with me.
I now have over 40 roses, climbing, standards and bush roses and I love everything aboutt hem, the colours, the different shapes and the perfume.
I <3 my roses!
