Going barefoot

I love going barefoot and often do it at home when i am not wearing my slippers. I love walking barefoot on grass particularly in summer and I love the beach along the waters edge walking barefoot. Do you go barefoot often?

Drink driving

Dear friends,
the other day there was a man sitting on my fence and he said he was waiting for a lift to take him to his car because he had been drinking the night before and got someone to drive him home rather than drink driving. When i was a teenager and well into my 20s it was seen as fine to drink and drive. I had to pull over one time I was so drunk but still carried on after a short break. Nowadays here in australia we have a huge campaign against drink driving and hefty fines and loss of car and license for serious offences. what do you think about drink driving?

Roses

it is roses time where I live and roses abound in the neighbouring houses from climbing roses to bush roses. my favourite is the big deep red rose with the heavy perfume. what is your favourite rose? Do you take time to smell the roses?

Natures surprises

Dear friends,
Yesterday I saw a new butterfly. a beautiful black and white one with red spots on the wing and yellow body. I also saw my first damsel fly this spring. I am amazed at having lived here for 56 years nature still surprises me with something new. What have you seen in nature that is new lately?

Pavements

On my walks I walk on concrete pavements that run along the fenceline of the houses. On the other side between the path and the road is a nature strip of grass and usually a tree planted for each of the houses. What do you walk on and along when you walk?

Dear friends, I have always been lucky to live near a public library and worked in a college library for 20 years. It is fantastic to have access to so much free information including nowadays to computers and the internet. Do you go to a library much?

I am a great decision maker with most things. I get all the facts and weigh them up carefully and then make my decision pretty quickly.
